I am a qualified counsellor with 14 years experience in working with survivors of Trauma and Sexual Abuse. Helping with the ongoing devastating affect it has on everyday life, for example Anxiety disorder, Depression, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Anger, loss and Grief, relationship difficulties, Trust issues, Self-harm, Suicidal thoughts
How I Can help
I am warm, gentle and accepting creating a atmosphere that is safe respectful, sensitive and confidential, which over time I feel will give you the confidence and courage to explore freely deep painful issues. The process of exploring problems increases insight and understanding it will enable you to facilitate change and patterns of behaviour so looking at more positive ways of coping with painful emotions and in time allowing personal growth to take place so you will feel better equipped to continue in life.
is person-centred, however over the past 14 years I have found myself using other approaches to accommodate my client’s individual needs such as Transactional Analysis (TA), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and also Creative Intervention where appropriate, inner child work.
I work from therapy rooms in Tavistock Devon and Launceston Cornwall. Transport links, parking within the grounds of each practice, mobility access
Time of appointments – Daytime 9-am to 3-pm Evenings 5-pm to 7- pm Saturday 9-am to 12-am
Face to face counselling £35.00 per 60 minute session, Skype counselling £25.00 per 60 minute session concessions available for low incomes. I offer long term or short term counselling depending on your needs
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) therefore, abide by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am also a member of the Trauma and Abuse Group ( TAG ) and ( DBS ) checked. I carry professional indemnity insurance.
